Happy Easter

It was a beautiful day today in Minnesota. Two of my step sons and their girlfriends came out to the farm today. The youngest got home yesterday from Kuwait for good!! He’s been gone a year and we are so happy to have him home, not to mention how happy we are that he’s home safely.

After dinner the kids headed to other relatives, and I was able to get out into my gardens a bit.

My garlic is coming along wonderful.

As well as my sage and oregano…

I was also able to plant some lettuce, arugula, radishes, and swiss chard today. I get so excited in the spring for planting!

If your looking for good seeds check out Seed Savers as they rock!

Bethany About Bethany

I am a prisoner of the highway, farmer and lover of Mother Nature, the moon and stars, my long and low, flat-top Peterbilt, chickens, cats, dogs, horses, cooking, photography, tattoos, tea pots and vintage barnifacts…among other things. I’m also a very, happily married, third-generation truck driver. My career choice is both demanding and rewarding, just like most things in life that are truly good.

Your garden looks real good, and looks like there's some more to do it, too.

  3. Do you still have the green garlic tops growing? Snip some into your meals! Gourmet restaurants & farmers markets out here in CA pay a pretty penny for those tender garlicky green tendrils!
