Okay, we are really not “snow bound” but we did get enough snow over the night that neither Hubs or I were in any hurry to go anywhere today. Luckily I made it home with perfect timing on Monday night, and Hubs decided to played hooky with me today.
Not too much has been going on around here, Hubs has been moving snow & I’ve been doing the normal household chores, with a little break in between for a good walk around the property to assess the damage.
That is the look of concentration! Notice Rosie all snug and clean in the quonset hut?
We are so lucky to have all the wind break that we do around our property even though the poor trees sure took a beating with all the ice we had last night.
Above is one of my favorite stands of trees on our property, and they were hurt the worst with all the heavy ice. I will be out picking sticks by the end of the week I’m sure!
But, oh what a show Mother Nature can put on with the simplest things like a little frozen water…
I hope everyone is safe and sound, where ever that may be.

Now that is looking a lot like here. It might be a bit cold, but you can’t knock the beauty God gives us to enjoy on a daily basis. Don’t ever forget to stop and smell the roses…even if they are next to a bull wagon.

Agreed Ken! I love your motto, that will be with me for a long time.
That third picture, the one with the tracks someone made in the snow, looks like the cover of a book called “One Girl Trucking.” When I saw it, my first thought was that maybe some day you’ll compile your blog posts and pictures into a book.
Thank you for saying this! Someday Jake, it’s been percolating in the back of my mind for a little bit now!
