This morning I feel as if I didn’t rest at all. I’m guessing it was because of the nightmare I had. I don’t have typical dreams it seems. Seeing as I have lived in a truck for so many years my dreams/nightmares tend to revolve around trucks & trucking. When I have nightmares, I don’t have the normal falling to the ground nightmares where you wake just before you hit the ground, rather I have nightmares of Rosie and me tipping over on some mountainside, to which I always wake just before she hits the ground,

My Personal Mechanic Every year it happens. Every year around this time, all you hear when you walk into a truck stop a day or two before CVSA's annual event is all the chatter going on about the big DOT 72 hour road check.... For my readers who are not truckers I will explain a bit more. Every year the CVSA (Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance) holds a 72 hour crack down on big trucks checking log books, doing inspections on trucks, and the drivers themselves. I'm at home this weekend and I'm trying to get paperwork done that I've been putting off... It's too bad though, since cooking, shopping, and just enjoying being home has been more entertaining! Like I've said before there is more to trucking than just driving down the road. Drivers have to account for all of our drive time, where we have been, what we are hauling, and what kind of miles we drive each day. This is my log book cover.
