Roasted Vegetable Tostadas

Roasted Vegetables

Good morning! As I said on my Facebook page Saturday morning, we had a busy weekend planned since we headed into the big city to spend some time with Hubs kids. We did a little shopping and Saturday night they brought us out to all the cool spots in Minneapolis. We had a great time but of coarse that time went WAY too fast because before we knew it, it was time to head back home. When we left for the weekend I had planned on steaks & roast potatoes for a Sunday supper but I just wasn't in the mood to make a huge

Drunken Cranberries

I'm late on this, as I really should have had this up BEFORE Thanksgiving, but I've just been too dang busy to sit down and look at my computer for any amount of time! How My Garden Grows

We are struggling here in Minnesota to have summer. It has rained almost every day I've been home, and locals are able to count how many HOT days we've actually had so far this year (Only 3 days over 90 degrees). Luckily though my garden is still trying. I think the weeds are trying harder though! I am very pleased with my garden this year. My mom was kind enough to give to me a start of my grandmothers old fashioned rose bush which is something that I always loved about my grandma and spending time at her house. I

Quiche- Yet Another Recipe

Since my first quiche back in January I've been making more and more of these wonderfully satisfying dishes. Both Hubs and I love them with a bowl of soup or just a good salad. They are so easy & comforting, and you can eat them for breakfast, lunch or dinner. And yet another selling point (like I need one!): you can eat them hot right from the oven or cold on the go! And with eggs rolling in here at the farm, it's yet another way to use them up! The Recipe 4 eggs 1 cup half-and-half 3/4 cup chopped ham 2
