Yesterday afternoon was a work in the garden day. The weather finally turned around and it was enjoyable to be outside again. I just hope it lasts... Like until January! Although I did get a ton of work done, I have to be honest and say if my camera, two cats, 8 ducks, and 7 chickens had not joined me in the garden, I would have gotten even more done but it wouldn't have been half as entertaining! So. The last two weeks have been busy which is part of the reason I've been MIA around here, the other is my wireless connection has been crap. Every time I have hooked up, if I burped, sneezed or blinked I was immediately kicked off. Finally, after having visions of using both my computer & wireless card as a wheel chock, I gave up trying. Today I'm blogging from sunny Arizona and I almost feel funny writing this while sitting 89 degree weather, but I will anyway. This week found me home for oh, only about 24 hours. It would have been even shorter if hubs hadn't hooked onto my wagon and delivered my melons for me. Since he was so good to me, I had no choice but to stay home, and enjoy a glorious fall afternoon. Although so nice, our weekend went too fast. As I sit here trying to get ready to go to work, I feel it was a blur. Here it is in pictures... We had mouthy ducks before we left. It seems they now sit outside the kitchen quacking until they get food or attention. Or both. Sass will sleep anywhere. Even on my gun. Babies with spots! S/he was SO cute! Savoy Truck Stop- Deming NM I love this place. For a few reasons really, but mostly because so far it has the cheapest fuel in New Mexico that I have found. Above and beyond that though, they have good staff, a very clean facility, small chrome shop, a tire shop, a nice restaurant by the looks of it (I haven't taken the time to dine in), and on top of my list, clean showers! The shower rooms feature a spa like atmosphere. Lastly, the other reason I like this place is because it still has some old time trucking

A few things this week and Nogales is on the bottom of my list! Since I've had a shit load of time on my hands today I thought I'd share some of the loving with you! Lara bars were suggested to me by Annabelle and I just had to try them. Actually I think I ordered them the very same day she told me about them! If you want something sweet but good for you, these are it! They have a TON of flavors for every- body. I think it took me like an hour to choose which flavor I was going to get!
